Scope of the Workshop
The optimization group (AG Optimization) of the University of Kaiserslautern organized a Workshop on Network Optimization which took place October 23 and 24 in the Pfalzakademie Lambrecht close to Kaiserslautern. It is part of the Graduiertenkolleg Mathematik und Praxis (GKMP) which is jointly funded by the German research council (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG) and the State Rhineland-Pfalz.
The workshop programme consisted in non-parallel invited and contributed presentations on the following topics:
- cuts in networks
- network flows
- network design
- approximation algorithms
- mechanism design
- game theory on networks
- application in traffic and communication
